It has come to the attention of the Office of the Undersecretary for Legal Service and the Office of the Director, Legal Service that unscrupulous individuals, using the following mobile numbers—0962-734-3372 and 0967-047-4698—have been contacting DPWH officials to solicit monetary favors in exchange for dropping or dismissing alleged criminal and/or administrative cases filed against them.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) emphasizes that the Legal Service, including the Undersecretary and Director, upholds the core values of public service, integrity, professionalism, excellence and teamwork.
All official communications are conducted exclusively through authorized channels. No individual or group has been authorized to act or communicate on behalf of these officials.
As public servants, we remain committed to our principles, ensuring that no person is subjected to undue delay or harassment for personal or financial gain.
We urge the public to avoid engaging with or responding to any communication from the aforementioned numbers. Similar incidents should be reported immediately to the DPWH Stakeholders Relations Service at Hotline 165-02; (02) 5304-3370; (02) 5304-3280 or to the nearest Philippine National Police (PNP) station.
