Department of Public Works and Highways joins the Philippine Commission on Women, Human Woman’s Symbol Formation, March 8, 2014 at the Quirino Grandstand

 

 

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in coordination with national and local government agencies, non-government organizations, academic institutions and civil society organizations spearheaded the observance of the national women’s month celebration with the theme “Juana, ang Tatag Mo ay Tatag Natin sa Pagbangon at Pagsulong”.

As part of the women’s month celebration, the country tried to set a World Record of world’s most participated women symbol forming. The event was held last March 8, 2014 (Saturday) at the Quirino Grandstand.

The event was joined by different government agencies and non-government agencies. The Department of Public Works and Highways joined the said activity and was able to send a total of Three Hundred Thirty Four (334) men and women delegates from DPWH Central Office and Regional Offices of NCR, IV-A, and IV-B. The activity was spearheaded by the Environmental and Social Safeguards Division (ESSD), Planning Service. Direct
or Elizabeth P. Pilorin of the Stakeholders Relations Service (SRS), headed the DPWH delegation.
