The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-led by the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GADFPS) in partnership with DPWH Central Office Employees Union (COEU) conducted seminar on "Anti Bastos Law" and Women's Right in the Work Place with Atty. Marifren Gacutan as Resource Speaker together with COEU GAD DESK.
One hundred twenty six (126) Laging QIean Women Custodians attended the pilot seminar on Women's Right to be cascaded soon in the entire agency, COEU GAD DESK was already introduced to the participants as their partner and they can approach in time of need.
The COEU GAD Desk provides a range of services, starting with comprehensive care for Central Office Women Employees in precarious situations, listening to them to ascertain their problems and needs, providing them with information and referring them to either the relevant services in case of legal, health, sociocultural or educational problems, or to the appropriate services for socio-professional integration.
