The COEU initiated the FIRST GAD DESK MEETING, which tackled the importance and preparation of Guidelines and Department Orders regarding Safe Spaces Act, GAD DESKS, Men Supporting Gender Equality and Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
The meeting was held in the DPWH Central Office Employees Union dated June 13, 2022 attended by the Gad Focal Point System (GFPS), Legal Service, Central Office Employees Union (COEU), COEU Committee on GAD, Men Supporting Gender Equality (MSGE) and GAD DESK.
Gad Focal Points System Committee Member and Central Office Employees Union Rolando C. Rodolfo reiterated the importance of GAD DESK under the FLARE Program of DPWH COEU. He also committed the creation of Special Order of the “Men Supporting Gender Equality (MSGE) and other programs and activities under the GAD DESK.
GFPS Focal Person Atty. Marfren also suggested “Safe Spaces” and “Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act” to be disseminated through Information and Education Campaign in the entire Department.
