
The Department of Public Works and Highways will undertake road reblocking and repair along EDSA, C-5, and other road portions in Quezon City starting at 11PM, Friday, June 17, 2022.
According to DPWH National Capital Region (NCR) Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas, the road rehabilitation works will cover EDSA Quezon City Northbound after Aurora Boulevard from EDSA tunnel (end of asphalt) to New York Street, bus lane; from Aurora Boulevard to Kamuning Road, 1st lane from sidewalk (intermittent section); and after Kamuning Road to JAC Liner Bus Station, beside concrete barriers/center island.
Innermost lane/bus way of EDSA Santolan Southbound, covering Connecticut Street up to Rochester Street in San Juan City will be also closed.
Other affected lanes on portions of Quezon City include: along Batasan Road, from San Mateo Road to Sampaguita Street, 1st lane from sidewalk; along Commonwealth Avenue Northbound, from Zuzuareggui Street to fronting Diliman Preparatory School, 2nd lane from MRT area; Cloverleaf (CHN.000 – CHN 258) going to NLEX Northbound; and Cloverleaf (CHN.000 – CHN 234) going to NLEX Southbound.
Similar road rehabilitation activities will be undertaken on portions of C-5 covering the northbound 3rd lane and southbound 2nd lane in Makati City, and along Pasig Boulevard southbound, in front of 7/11 Barangay Pineda in Pasig City.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic slowdowns and to take possible alternate routes until road sections are reopened to traffic by 5AM on Monday, June 20, 2022.
