Officials and employees of Department of Public Works and Highways took the paint brushes and rollers to add colour to houses at Navotas Relocation Site, Barangay Tanza, Navotas City for its Juan Brigade Outreach Program.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson together with some 300 other DPWH volunteers painted a total of fifty five (55) housing units as part of the agency’s community engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

This is our second time DPWH is partnering with Habitat for Humanity Philippines. The first time was in the construction of houses at Bistekville 1 in Payatas, Quezon City in September 2012, said Singson.

Singson lauded DPWH men and women who showed the spirit of volunteerism and teamwork to help provide decent dwelling for the relocates in Tanza, Navotas City.

Aside from the house painting activity, DPWH shared the spirit of Christmas by turning over to Habitat for Humanity Philippines cash donations and schooling materials to the community.
