Composite teams from the Regional and District Engineering Offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways are on the roads to assist travellers celebrating "Undas" this weekend.
Deployed on strategic section of national highways, the DPWH Lakbay Alalay personnel will respond to any road emergency situation beginning 5 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 to 12 Noon Monday, November 2, 2015.
It is greatly expected that all national roads, more importantly those leading to public and private cemeteries will be very busy for the All Saints' Day and our personnel are ready to assist motorists, said Secretary Rogelio L. Singson.
Prior to the occasion, DPWH field units implemented various routine maintenance activities to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of roads.
Traffic service maintenance work were also undertaken particularly the installation of informative and regulatory warning signs and traffic advisory.
Traffic advisories are also posted for those on-going projects under long term performance-based maintenance projects.
