Two (2) road sections in Region 1 and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) are still closed to traffic due landslide and flooding brought by tropical storm “Egay”.
According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Bureau of Maintenance, as of 12:00 noon of July 7, 2015, Tuesday, the Gurel-Bokod-Kabayan Road, K0341+320, Bongis Section in Benguet and the Bangar-Luna Road, KM305+000 to KM306+000 Section in the province of La Union remain impassable due to landslide and flooding respectively.
Manpower and equipment from DPWH Benguet First District Engineering Office and La Union First District Engineering Office were already deployed for the clearing operations on the landslide-stricken and flooded roads.
