The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) has scheduled reblocking and road repair in eight (8) national roads in the cities of Quezon and Pasig starting 11PM of Friday, June 23, 2017.
DPWH-NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro reported that the affected roads in Quezon City will include the second lane, southbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) between Times Street and Quezon Avenue; second lane of Mindanao Avenue southbound before Road 20; inner lane, southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue between Sta. Catalina Street and Magnas Street; fifth lane of Commonwealth Avenue northbound between Batasan Road to Litex Road; second lane of Quirino Highway northbound between Mindanao Avenue to San Sebastian Street; third lane, northbound direction of Congressional Avenue Extension before Tandang Sora Avenue going to Visayas Avenue; and, first lane, westbound direction of Luzon Avenue between Commonwealth Avenue to Congressional Avenue.
Road works will also be undertaken in southbound direction of C-5 Road between Creek to Lanuza Avenue in Pasig City.
Navarro said that all affected roads will be fully passable by 5AM of` Monday, June 26 2017.
Meanwhile, motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid traffic slowdown in the construction areas.
