
The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will resume its concrete re-blocking and repair of various roads in Metro Manila this weekend starting 11PM of Friday, August 25, 2017.
DPWH-NCR Melvin B. Navarro said road works will cover ten (10) major thoroughfares in Quezon City, two (2) in Pasig City, and one (1) in Caloocan City.
Those that will undergo repair in Quezon City includes second lane, northbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) before north Avenue; second lane, southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue between Mauban Street and Dome Street; truck lane of E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue before Green Meadows; truck lane of E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue after Boni Serrano Flyover; second lane, northbound direction of Mindanao Avenue before Sauyo Road; fourth lane of C.P. Garcia Avenue from Ginhawa Street to Katipunan Avenue; northbound direction of V. Luna Road between East Avenue and Kalayaan Avenue; third lane, northbound direction of Congressional Avenue Extension between Visayas Avenue and Tandang Sora; second lane of Quirino Highway between Regalado Avenue North to La Mesa Dam; and, first lane, westbound direction of Luzon Avenue between Commonwealth Avenue and Congressional Avenue.
In Pasig City, concrete re-blocking will resume on southbound direction of C-5 Road near Julia Vargas and along Manila East Road infront of SM East Ortigas.
DPWH will also perform road works on the northbound section of MacArthur Highway near Monumento Circle.
Motorists and the travelling public are advised to take alternate route dues to expected build-up near the affected road sections which will re-open at 5AM of Monday, August 28, 2017.
