
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Second Leyte District Engineering Office has started the issuance of bidding documents for infrastructure projects amounting to ₱27.9 million lined up for implementation in the Province of Leyte.
DPWH registered civil works contractors may vie for the right to undertake contract for the ₱1.9-million concrete road paving and ₱1.8-million repair of drainage system projects in Sta. Elena Village in Lapaz town; ₱7.9-million construction of a two-storey health and wellness building in San Rafael village in Dulag town; and ₱6.4 million construction of a multi-purpose building in Paghudlan village, ₱2-million repair of a drainage project in San Esteban village both in Burauen town.
Also included in the projects now up for bid are the construction of multi-purpose building in Rizal village in Tabontabon town costing ₱3.4 million; and the revetments projects in Hiabangan and Guinarona villages, both in Dagami town requiring an investment amount of ₱1.7 million and ₱1.5 million respectively.
District Engineer Carlos G. Veloso said the competitive bidding procedure will use a pass/fail criterion while the contractor’s eligibility to bid on the project will be determined using the DPWH contract profile eligibility process (CPEP).
“Infrastructure projects lined up this 2017 are right on target and consist mainly of road widening including drainage, concrete reblocking, asphalt overlay, paving of shoulders, slope protection and flood control projects,” he added.
Pre-bid conference and opening of bids are slated on September 6, 2017.
