The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two (2) road improvement projects worth P60.5 million in the City of Ilagan, Isabela.
District Engineer Evelyn C. Costales of DPWH Isabela First District Engineering Office said recently-completed projects include the improvement and widening of Ilagan-Delfin Albano-Mallig (IDAM) Road in Barangay Naguilian Norte and concreting of barangay road which serves as a farm-to-market road in Barangay Namnama and Fugu.
DPWH allocated P46.4 million for the 2.3-kilometer IDAM Road Project which involves the widening and shoulder paving, including stone masonry works, and parapet walls.
IDAM Road serves as an alternate gateway from the City of Ilagan to the municipalities of Tumauini and Delfin Albano, providing alternative route for motorists and reducing vehicular traffic along Daang Maharlika or Cagayan Valley Road.
DPWH also completed the P14.1 million concreting of the 1.2-kilometer farm-to-market road that is now serving at least 3,200 residents of barangays Namnama and Fugu in the said city.
