
Motorists are advised that the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) is set to resume repair and re-blocking activities in major roads in the cities of Quezon and Caloocan starting Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11PM.
According to DPWH-NCR Director Melvin Navarro, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has given clearance to undertake repair works in the following roads in Quezon City: 5th lane, northbound direction of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), from Howmart to Oliveros; inner lane, northbound direction of Visayas Avenue in front of the National Food Authority; inner lane, northbound direction of Quirino Highway, near Sacred Heart of Jesus; 1st lane along Congressional Avenue, from EDSA to Cagayan Street; 3rd lane, northbound direction along Congressional Avenue Extension, Miranilla Gate ; 2nd lane, northbound direction along C.P. Garcia Avenue from P. Castañeda Street to Pook Aguinaldo Street; and middle and inner lane, southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue, from Bulusan Street to Calavite.
Road works will also be undertaken along Bonifacio Monumento Circle in Caloocan City.
Due to expected traffic slowdown in the affected areas, motorists are requested to take possible alternate routes.
Director Navarro said that affected lanes will re-open at 5AM on Monday, January 22, 2018.
