DPWH Weekend Road Repair in QC and Caloocan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking and repairs of roads in the Cities of Quezon and Caloocan this weekend.

According to DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro, the road repair and rehabilitation will be carried out from 11 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 using one (1) day concrete mix so that the affected road lanes will be fully passable at 5 AM Monday, January 29, 2018.

In Quezon City, northbound direction of the following would be affected of the road reblocking and repairs: Visayas Avenue in front of Jollibee, outerlane; EDSA between Howmart to Oliveros, 5th lane; Congressional Avenue Extension near Tierra Pura Subdivision, 3rd lane; Congressional Avenue between EDSA to Cagayan Street, 1st lane; and Quirino Highway near Sacred Heart of Jesus, outer lane. Also included in the repair schedule is the middle and inner lanes of A. Bonifacio Avenue southbound between Dr. Alejo Street to Calavite Street.

Motorists are advised of traffic slowdown in the affected areas and to use possible alternate routes.

The Bonifacio Monumento Circle in Caloocan City will also undergo repair works with General Tinio and B. Serrano Road as alternate route

The affected road lanes will be fully passable at 5 AM on Monday, said Navarro.
