The Department of Public Works and Highways – Nueva Vizcaya Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-NVSDEO) is currently working on the rehabilitation of Bitnong Bridge Nos. 1 and 2 in the province of Dupax del Norte.
According to District Engineer Ronald P. Reyes, the repair of the two bridges involves the provision of carbon fiber reinforcement, epoxy injection as well as protection structures for the foundations.
“This project aims to prolong the life of the bridge and also to enhance structural performance and durability,” DE Reyes said.
“We are positive that this will be completed ahead of schedule,” he added.
Repair works for both bridges started on December last year with a budget of ₱5.069 Million for Bitnong Bridge No. 1 spanning 40.35 lineal meters, and ₱4.075 Million for Bitnong Bridge No. 2 measuring 10 lineal meters.
