The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed three (3) new dome-type multipurpose building projects in the City of Valenzuela.

DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said the newly-constructed buildings at Barangay Bignay, Disiplina Village; Barangay Arkong Bato; and at Barangay Lawang Bato Phase can now serve as recreational areas for sport activity, and venues for livelihood seminars, feeding program, medical and dental missions, and other activities.

Director Navarro added that the buildings were also designed to accommodate evacuees affected by flooding during typhoons and other calamities.

A total of P6.4 million was allocated to construct the buildings that were implemented effective April 2017 to December 2017 by the DPWH Metro Manila Third District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Casiano P. de Guzman.
