Friday, March 9, 2018

Four (4) additional school buildings are being constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for Cauayan City National High School in Cauayan City, Isabela.

DPWH Region 2 Director Melanio C. Briosos said the school building projects cover the two (2) units of four-storey building containing 20 classrooms, one (1) unit of two-storey building with six classrooms, and another unit of school building with three classrooms.

Director Briosos said the construction of additional school buildings will address the classroom shortage in the public high school attributed to the increasing number of students every year and the implementation of the Department of Education’s K to 12 Program.

“If the weather permits, we expect the completion of the new school buildings for Cauayan City National High School by third quarter of 2018,” added Director Briosos.

The construction of the new school buildings for Cauayan City National High School is a convergence program of the DPWH and DepEd funded under Basic Education Facilities Fund.
