Another feather has been added to the cap of accomplishments of the Department of Public Works and Highways – Cagayan Third District Engineering Office (DPWH-CTDEO) with its Materials Testing Laboratory bagging a two-star rating from the DPWH Central Office -Bureau of Research and Standards.
The DEO’s testing laboratory has satisfactorily met the requirement on the physical layout plan and the upgrading of its existing laboratory, materials, and apparatuses specifically in the areas of asphalt and cement testing.
It is now the first IN Cagayan Region and the fourth nationwide to have been awarded with a 2-star rating.
“The upgrade of the testing lab into a 2-star rating will help maintain the quality of projects of the district,” District Engineer Danilo U. Tabilas said.
“Also, we are working to attain the 3-star rating category so that the Quality Assurance Section can accommodate as many testing activities for the different infrastructure preojects,” he added.
