The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 9 Director Jorge U. Sebastian, Jr. has deployed personnel to man the Motorists Assistance Center regionwide for the Lenten Season.

The thirteen (13) support centers, comprised of engineers, mechanics, equipment operators and other service crews from the District Offices, will be operational from 12 noon of March 28, 2018 to 12 noon of April 2, 2018.

With the influx of travelers visiting shrines and pilgrimages and taking advantage of the long holidays to spend time with their families and loved ones, the office ensures public safety and security by installing directional and warning signs as well as maintaining good condition of roads that are free from pot holes.

Reflectorized pavement markings are also provided to guide night-driving motorists.

Emergency hotlines of the Regional and District Engineering Offices are provided to cater to customer queries and needs, while Customer Survey Forms are handed-out in designated areas in order to determine the feedback of the lent travelers to further improve the quality and service delivered by the office.

“Lakbay Alalay” is an annual program of the Department of Public Works and Highways operationalized nationwide to assist travelers during the celebration of the Holy Week.
