
The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will remain busy during Lenten Break with scheduled road repairs and motorist assistance program dubbed as “Lakbay Alalay”.
DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said maintenance teams were deployed to monitor repair of three (3) road sections in Quezon City starting at 12:00 midnight on Thursday, March 29, 2018 until 5:00 am on Monday, April 2, 2018.
Affected roads include the southbound direction of Visayas Avenue, in front of PCOO, inner lane and Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), from Banahaw to P. Tuazon Boulevard, from the center island, 1st lane; and the northbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue, from Dome Street going to Sgt. Rivera, outer lane.
The nine (9) District Engineering Offices of DPWH-NCR will likewise deploy Lakbay Alalay teams in strategic locations along Metro Manila roads to assist motorists heading to their respective provinces for Holy Week.
“We encourage the public to report to us any observed obstructions along national roads since we have Lakbay Alalay personnel on a round-the-clock shift who can immediately provide assistance,” said Director Navarro.
