The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct reblocking and repair works on nine (9) major road sections in Quezon City and España Boulevard this weekend.
DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Melvin Navarro reported that road reblocking and repairs will be conducted from 11 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 covering four (4) road sections of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) which include the northbound direction fronting Vertis North to Trinoma Mall, 1st lane and fronting FF Cruz to Victory Liner, 1st lane from sidewalk; and the southbound direction from Ignacio Diaz to after P. Tuazon Boulevard, 1st lane from the center island; and Eugenio Lopez Street to near Scout Borromeo, inner most lane.
Other roads section that will undergo repair works are as follows: España Boulevard, going to Quiapo, inner lane, from V.G. Cruz to A. Lacson; Quirino Highway, from Lagro to near Mater Cameli, outer lane; Cogressional Avenue, from San Beda Road to Visayas Avenue, 2nd lane; Visayas Avenue, in front of PCOO, inner lane, southbound; and A. Bonifacio Avenue, from after Del Monte Street going to Mauban, middle lane.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes due to expected traffic slowdown in these areas.
With the use of one (1) day concrete mix, affected roads will re-open on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 5 a.m.
