
The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH – NCR) will undertake repair activities along Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and other roads in Quezon City and Manila this weekend.
According to DPWH-NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro, road rehabilitation will begin at 11 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 covering four (4) road sections of EDSA which include the northbound direction fronting Vertis North to Trinoma Mall, 3rd lane; fronting Florida Bus Station, 2nd lane from the sidewalk and from Mapagmahal Street to East Avenue, 1st lane from sidewalk; and the southbound direction from M. Ignacio Diaz to after P. Tuazon Boulevard, 1st lane from the center island and Eugenio Lopez Street to after Scout Borromeo, innermost lane.
Other roads that will undergo repair this weekend are as follows: España Boulevard, going to Quiapo, from near Don Quijote Street to V. G. Cruz Street, innermost lane; Quirino Highway, from Lagro to near Mater Carmeli, outer lane; Congressional Avenue, from San Beda Road to Visayas Avenue, 3rd lane; and A. Bonifacio Avenue, before footbridge of C3, middle lane, northbound.
Director Navarro said that roads will re-open on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 5 a.m.
The DPWH advised motorists to take alternate routes to avoid traffic slowdown and build-up at construction areas.
