The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region X formally welcomed its new Regional Director, Engr. Zenaida T. Tan, in a turn-over ceremony held April 16, 2018 at the Regional Office in Cagayan De Oro City.
The handing over of key of responsibility by outgoing Regional Director Virgilio C. Eduarte to incoming Regional Director Zenaida Tan was witnessed by the District Engineers, Assistant District Engineers, Division Chiefs and staff of the regional office.
Also present during the ceremony were the executives and staff of DPWH Region XI, Davao City—where Director Tan served as Assistant Regional Director prior to her new designation.
In her first message as Regional Director, Engr. Tan emphasized that attaining the mission, vision and core values of the Department, improving the systems in handling clientele and maintaining the reputation of Region-X will be on top of her priorities.
The new assignment of RD Tan is pursuant to Special Order No. 51, Series of 2018 dated April 12, 2018 signed by Secretary Mark A. Villar.
