Motorists are advised that the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will resume weekend reblocking on Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and four (4) other roads in Metro Manila starting at 11 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018.
DPWH-NCR Regional Director Melvin B. Navarro said that with Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) clearance, road repairs will be undertaken at three (3) sections of EDSA which include the southbound directions after Arayat Street, 3rd lane from the sidewalk (Service Road) and in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo, 3rd lane from the center island; and the northbound direction near North Avenue, MRT Station, 2nd lane.
Reblocking will also be done at the northbound directions of Batasan Road, from Commonwealth Avenue to Kalinisan Street, 2nd lane; A. H. Lacson Avenue near España; Congressional Avenue before Mindanao Avenue, 3rd lane; and Fairview Avenue, from Mindanao Avenue Extension to Jordan Plains Subdivision.
Director Navarro said one (1) day-curing concrete mix will be used for the repair works, hence roads will open at 5 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018.
