The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct road repair activities at Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and five (5) other roads in National Capital Region (NCR) between 11 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 to 5 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018.
Two (2) sections of EDSA will undergo reblocking specifically the southbound direction from in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo, 3rd lane from the center island; and at the northbound direction from Vertis North to Trinoma Mall, 2nd lane from the sidewalk.
Other roads scheduled for repair include the northbound directions of A. H. Lacson Avenue, from corner Aragon Street to corner P. Florentino Street; Congressional Avenue, from before corner Jupiter Street, 1st lane; Fairview Avenue, from Mindanao Avenue Extension to Jordan Plains Subdivision, 3rd lane; and Batasan Road, from Commonwealth Avenue to Kalinisan Street, 1st lane.
DPWH-NCR Regional Director Melvin B. Navarro advised the motorists to take possible alternate routes due to expected traffic build-up along the roads mentioned above.
