Engr. Melanio C. Briosos, the newly assigned DPWH - II Regional Director, formally reported to his new function after a simple turn-over ceremony held on September 16, 2016 at the DPWH Region II Conference Hall.
Director Briosos switched places with Director Nerie D. Bueno as the latter transferred to DPWH Region I in San Fernando City, La union.
In his message, Assistant Regional Director Alexander D. Nola thanked Engr. Bueno whom he described as the leader who steered DPWH Region II to greater heights with its notable accomplishments.
ARD Nola conveyed his words of welcome to Director Briosos saying, “We are delighted to welcome you home Sir Mel, in behalf of the DPWH Region 02 family, we want to assure you of our full support and cooperation for your administration.”
The event was witnessed by key officials and employees from the District Engineering Offices together with other partners from national government agencies and media.
Briosos, in his acceptance speech, expressed how happy he is to come back to his home region after almost three years.
“I’m really glad to be back and be of service to my home region once again. Altogether, let’s continue to be a beacon of hope and excellence as we serve the Filipino people,” Director Briosos added.
He also vowed to maintain and sustain the accomplishments of the previous leadership. He emphasized on the continuous upholding of the department’s core values and encouraged the staff to always give their commitment in their job as public servants.
“We must always be guided with the thrusts of our department, called the PIPET- Public Service, Integrity, Professionalism, Excellence and Teamwork. Let’s make this as our daily mantra in order for us to do our work better and be more effective civil servants of the country,” concluded Director Briosos.
