The Department of Works and Highways Region XIII prepare needed activities and equipment to reduce possible damages that may occur, in anticipation for the looming super typhoon “Mangkhut” with the local name “Ompong”. This preparation by the DPWH Regional and Risk Disaster Response Team led by Regional Director Pol M. Delos Santos and Assistant Regional Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas, ensures the safety of roads, bridges and public buildings, as well as monitor and report the status of strategic locations and provide immediate assistance and response in case of damages that may occur during the onset of the typhoon.
