Kennon Road, 10 other roads still closed due to Ompong

As of 12 noon, Friday, September 21, 2018, a total of 11 road sections in Luzon remain impassable to all types of vehicles due to landslide, collapsed road, damaged bridge, and flooding.

The Department of Public Works and Highways Bureau of Maintenance identified nine (9) closed roads in Cordillera Administrative Region and two (2) in Central Luzon namely:

BENGUET
1) Kennon Road

2) Baguio –Bontoc Road

b. K0371+400, Tiging Section, Sabangan

3) Baguio-Bua-Itogon Road
a. K0260+800 - K0260+900 Sitio Goldfield, Brgy. Poblacion, Itogon
b. K0259+600, Sitio Kiangan Village, Brgy. Ucab, Itogon

4) Acop-Kapangan-Kibungan-Bakun Road , K0345+600 - K0345+670 Bagtangan, Gambang, Bakun, Benguet

5) Banaue-Hungduan-Benguet Boundary Road
a. K0407+750 - K0407+900
b. K0405+050-K0406+900, Tukucan, Tinoc, intermittent section

ABRA
Abra-Ilocos Norte Road, K0451+150 - K0451+250 Nagaparan, Danglas, Abra

APAYAO
Apayao - Ilocos Norte, Intermittent Section

KALINGA
1) Mt. Province Boundary-Calanan -Pinukpuk-Abbut Road, Mabongis Bridge

2) Balbalan-Pinukpuk Road, K0489+300 Maling Section

PAMPANGA
1) Baliwag - Candaba - Sta. Ana Road, K0068+(-348) Bomba Bridge

2) Candaba - San Miguel Road, K0073+400 - K0073+600 Paralaya, Candaba Pampanga

Partial cost of damage to roads, bridges, flood-control structures, and public building has reached P2,74 Billion from the P889 million infrastructure damage in CAR, P1 Billion in Region I, P656.4 million in Region II, P157.75 in Region OOO, and P20 million in Region V.
