
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office IV-B Director Wilfredo Mallari conducted project assessment on the ongoing construction of Puerto Princesa Cruise Port and Facilities last March 2018.
Mallari was accompanied by DPWH Regional Project Manager Abdulfatak Pandapatan; Engineer Gideon Caampued of Quality Assurance and Hydrology Division; Engineer Dominic Serrano of Construction Division; Engineer Priscilla Cleofe of Maintenance Division; Assistant Regional Project Manager Julius Cruz; Palawan 2nd District Engineer Alejandro Ventilacion; Palawan 3rd District Engineer Rommel Aguirre; and Equi-Parco Construction Company Project Engineer Bernardino Amarille Jr.
The ₱1.90-billion project aims to sustain the fast growing cruise industry in South East Asia and the Pacific.
Upon completion, the Puerto Princesa City Cruise Port is expected to bolster tourism growth in the island of Palawan, offering more jobs and opportunities to the local residents.
