DPWH repairs and reblocking on EDSA and 5 other roads this weekend

The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH – NCR) will resume weekend road repair at portions of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and five (5) other roads in Metro Manila starting 11 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 until 5 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 after it was given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

According to DPWH – NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro, the road reblocking activities at EDSA within Quezon City will cover the southbound direction after Eugenio Lopez to after Scout Borromeo Street beside MRT line, and northbound direction beside Trinoma Mall to 6th lane from the center island.

Also included in the repair work schedule are two (2) other roads in Quezon City namely General Luis Street, westbound direction from near Mendoza Drive and Quirino Highway beside Baesa Cemetery, 2nd lane from the sidewalk; and Batasan Road, northbound direction from Sinagtala Street to Batasan – San Mateo Road, 4th lane. Road repair to be undertaken in Pasig City include the southbound directions of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) from after Lanuza Avenue and fronting Market Market.

Other roads that will undergo rehabilitation of damaged pavement are two (2) roads in Manila: A.H. Lacson Avenue, from corner Aragon Street and P. Florentino Street; and G. Tuazon Street corner Masbate Street.

Motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion in affected areas while construction is on-going.
