
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Quezon City Second District Engineering Office officially commenced the activities for the construction of two (2) 5-storey multi-purpose buildings that will serve as living quarters of the Enlisted Personnel (EP) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The two (2) multi-purpose building projects costing P233 million will cover the construction of a pair of symmetrical buildings inside Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City that will have 88 units each or a total of 176 units with provision for garage at the ground floor.
Each unit will have a floor area of 35 square meters (5 meters x 7 meters) to ensure a comfortable and conducive living quarters to the AFP enlisted personnel and their families.
DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, who launched this building construction project in July, with Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana and other officials, said that by January 2020, these living quarters will be able to accommodate our brave AFP personnel.
“Consider this as our way of showing our appreciation to the selfless service and sacrifices our uniformed men and women make for our country,” said Secretary Villar.
