
In observance of All Saints and All Soul’s Day, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Eastern Samar District Engineering Office (DEO) provided motorists with prompt and reliable assistance to ensure the safety and smooth travel of the public in the province during the holidays.
Teams are set to be deployed in three (3) strategic areas of Eastern Samar namely: Junction Taft in municipality of Taft; Junction Buenavista in municipality of Quinapondan and DPWH-Eastern Samar DEO in municipality of Borongan City starting 7 a.m. on October 31, 2018 up to 12 noon of November 4, 2018.
District Engineer Manolo A. Rojas directed the District Motorists Assistance Team to wear uniforms that can be easily recognize and to install proper and legible signages and warning signs on all on-going projects to avert any accidents.
The uniformed motorist personnel will also provide immediate assistance to travelers on normal and emergency situations such as rescuing travelled vehicle, giving directions to tourists and applying first aid in case of emergency purposes.
DPWH-Eastern Samar DEO also coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Philippine National Police (PNP), and officials of Local Government Units (LGUs) to assure maintenance and guarantee proper services to be delivered to our public.
