The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was among the national government agencies presented with recognition by the Career Executive Service Board (CESB) during the Career Executive Service (CES) Gala Night on November 10, 2018 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Reception Hall, PlCC Complex, Pasay City.
DPWH was recipient of two (2) plaque of recognition: Government Agency that complies with the Career Executive Service Performance Evaluation System (CESPES) Online Rating, and Most Number of CES Eligibles in an Agency.
CESPES is an annual performance evaluation system for members of the career service executives used as basis for promotion, grant of merit-based incentives/benefits, and career planning and development.
The award was accepted on behalf of the DPWH by Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain and Human Resource Administrative Service Director Michael Villafranca.
On that momentous occasion, CESB also launched their Coffee Table Book featuring the remarkable achievements of CES eligibles to include former DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson and Undersecretary Sadain.
On September 20, 2017, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte confers the prestigious Presidential Gawad Career Executive Service (CES) Award to former DPWH Secretary Singson and Undersecretary Sadain during the joint Conferment Ceremony of the Career Executive Service Board (CESB) and Civil Service Commission (CSC) at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall of the Malacañang Palace.
The Gala Night is the culminating event in commemorating the 45th Founding Anniversary of CES with the theme ”Celebrating the Power of Service”, recognizing the meaningful contributions which CES members have made since 1973 to bring change, expertise and leadership in transforming our communities and our country.
