The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH – NCR) will undertake road reblocking and repair activities along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and four (4) other major roads in Metro Manila.
DPWH – NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro said that the road repairs will be carried starting 11 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at the following sections of EDSA Quezon City: southbound direction near GMA 7, 2nd lane from MRT lane and Scout Albano to Panorama Devt. Corp. Building, beside sidewalk; and at the northbound direction before Oliveros footbridge, 1st lane from the sidewalk.
Other roads that will undergo rehabilitation of damaged pavements in Quezon City are the following: Tandang Sora Avenue fronting Petron Gas Station, northbound; Batasan Road near Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office, 4th lane from center, northbound; and at Mindanao Avenue, after Road 20 (Trucklane) and fronting Petron Gas Station (Trucklane), northbound.
Road works will also be undertaken at Circumferential Road 5 (C-5 Road) near SM Aura 2nd outermost lane, southbound.
DPWH has secured clearance with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for these road repair activities in anticipation of the expected traffic slowdown on areas identified.
