Officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) headed by Undersecretary Ardeliza Medenilla together with representatives of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) met recently to discuss the provisions of the new R.A. 11032 (Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2018) which amended the RA 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape and the process and key outputs for the government’s Project Repeal. Project Repeal encourages DPWH and other government agencies to create/update an Agency Business Regulation Information System and review/repeal irrelevant and unnecessary issuances/ordinances to encourage easier transactions with stakeholders and attract international investments. DTI serves as the temporary Secretariat of the newly-established Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).
