President Aquino Inaugurates Pavia School Building

President Benigno S. Aquino III led the inauguration of a 3 storey school building at Pavia National High School (PNHS) last February 9, 2016.

The P40 million school building project has 18 classrooms and was constructed under joint program of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Education (DepEd).

Assisting the President at the inauguration of the new school building are Senate President Franklin Drilon, DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro, PAGCOR chairman Cristino Naguiat Jr., Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr, 2nd district Representative Arcadio Gorriceta, and Pavia Mayor Michael Gorriceta.

About 3,000 students would benefit from the new school building that can accommodate incoming students in Senior High School under the K-12 program.

According to Delorah Fantillo, principal of PNHS, the new school building can also be utilized by those that will be affected by calamities and for other emergency purposes.
