DPWH repairs 1.58-km road in Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte

The newly-rehabilitated 1.58-kilometer section of Dipolog-Polanco-Piñan-Jct. Oroquieta Road in Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte is now fully accessible.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Zamboanga del Norte 3rd District Engineer Veronico O. Micarandayo said the P30.96 million reconstruction and upgrading project was implemented to restore the damaged road section which is used as an access route for locals and visitors to Piñan’s famous Manuel Resort and Mutia Alvenda Highlander Farm.

Meanwhile, the Sunrise Boulevard Phase II that connects the alternate route from Dipolog/Barcelona-Dapitan City, to the National Heritage Rizal Park and the world-class Dakak Park and Beach Resort in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte has also been completed by Zamboanga del Norte 3rd District Engineering Office.

District Engineer Micarandayo said the project which covers the construction of a 634-meter, 2-lane road segment, including the road right-of-way (RROW) component was implemented in the amount of P50 million.
