MYPS and PCMA Roadshow in R7

The Department of Public Works and Highways showcased the Multi-Year Programming and Scheduling (MYPS) and the Project and Contract Management Applications in Region 7 last May 20-21, 2016.

The two-day roadshow was conducted to promote advocacy and awareness in the use of these two applications and encourage direct involvement and participation of all concerned.

Headed by Assistant Secretary for Operations of Visayas and Mindanao, Dimas S. Soguilon, the first day was participated by the District Engineers, Chiefs of Construction in the Regional Office and District Offices, Project Engineers and Monitoring Engineers. The second day was dedicated as a Contractors’ Forum from Regions 6, 7 and 8.

MYPS supports the planning process in DPWH through storage and management of candidate programs and projects. It manages the multi-year program and can be exported to the Department’s procurement and contract management application.

The PCMA provides enabling technology which strengthen internal controls and enhances project and contract monitoring. PCMA also provides the capability not only to report progress but the ability for accelerated analysis and problem resolution at the project or contract level, and full analytics at the construction program level.
