DPWH to conduct weekend road repairs along EDSA and C-5

Seven (7) national roads in the National Capital Region (NCR) including portions of EDSA and C-5 will undergo concrete reblocking this weekend.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Director Ador G. Canlas said repairs will be undertaken starting 11 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 until 5 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2019 along northbound directions of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), fronting Philippine College of Surgeons to fronting Quezon City Academy, 1st lane from sidewalk; from Light Mall 1st lane to Jollibee Service Road, Mega Mall 2nd lane; and at the southbound direction after Lagarian Creek to Ermin Garcia Street beside MRT line.

Road repair will also be undertaken at the southbound direction of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) fronting SM Aura; and after Lanuza Avenue before Bagong Ilog Flyover.

The northbound directions of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard from Ramon Magsaysay Bridge to Pureza Street, going to Quiapo; and Fairview Avenue from Atherton to Regalado Avenue North, 2nd lane will also undergo improvement works.

Due to expected traffic slowdown in affected areas, motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes.
