The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will temporarily close three (3) sections of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and two (2) sections of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) to undertake road repair over the weekend.
DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador Canlas announced that road reblocking activities will be conducted from 11 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 until 5 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at the southbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) from New York Street to Monte De Piedad Street; as well as EDSA northbound direction fronting Philippine College of Surgeons and Quezon City Academy, first lane from sidewalk; and from Light Mall first lane to Jollibee Service Road, Mega Mall second lane.
Two (2) sections of C-5, specifically the southbound direction after Lanuza Avenue before Bagong Ilog Flyover and in front of SM Aura in Taguig City will also be repaired as well as the northbound directions of Fairview Avenue from Atherton to Regalado Avenue North first lane from center island; and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard from Ramon Magsaysay Bridge to Pureza Street, going to Quiapo.
Motorists are advised to take alternate route due to expected traffic congestion at the construction areas.
