
As part of the preventive maintenance to preserve road condition, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Quirino District Engineering Office (DPWH-QDEO) completed two asphalt overlay projects recently.
The first project is located along Junction Managdingay-Saguday-Isabela Boundary Road and has length of 2.27 kilometers, while the next one is located along Cordon-Maddela-Aurora Boundary Road and measures to 3.93 kilometers. The projects cost P78,000,000 million pesos and P69,713,000 million pesos.
Aside from the asphalt paving of the concrete surface, both projects also involved the provision of drainage structures and pavement markings.
District Engineer Marifel T. Andes said that asphalt paving is a measure to prevent fast deterioration of the road section.
