With the aim to improve mobility of vehicles and delivery of basic social services, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Isabela First District Engineering Office (DPWH-IFDEO) has paved road shoulders along Junction National-Sta. Victoria Road in the City of Ilagan, Isabela.
The concreted shoulders spans a length of 1,850 meters with both sides measuring 3 meters in width and 280 millimeters in thickness.
District Engineer Evelyn C. Costales said that the newly-paved road shoulders will help hasten traffic flow, making government programs and services more accessible to the residents.
“This will also ease the transport of agricultural products from the locality to the commercial centers of the City of Ilagan,” she added.
The project has a total funding cost of P20,424,014.10. It started on June 6, 2018 and was completed before the year ended.
