
Experts from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) held a coordination meeting with China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Highways Consultants to discuss the final details on the feasibility study of Panay-Guimaras-Negros Bridge.
The scope of work of the feasibility study covers socio-economic and transportation; environmental impact analysis; social impact assessment; geotechnical and geological investigation; engineering survey; seismic safety evaluation; marine hydrologic study; meteorological environment and design wind parameters; navigation and ship impact study; and engineering proposal.
DPWH Region 6 Director Wenceslao M. Leaño Jr. said that a series of consultation were conducted prior to the coordination meeting to provide countermeasures on the challenges that can arise on the proposed Panay-Guimaras-Negros bridge project.
Once completed, it is expected to support economic development of Panay, Guimaras, and Negros Island.
