DPWH-NCR completes P9.3-M road and drainage system

People living along Maya Creek in Barangay Rizal, Makati City will no longer have to bear with high level of flood water with the newly-completed road and drainage project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Flooding always occur in the vicinity of Maya Creek during rainy season since the area has a lower elevation compared to the other adjacent barangays in the area.

DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that the a total budget allotment of P9.3-Million from the 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA) will complement with the rehabilitation and improvement process of the drainage and road project near the creek to help subside the flow of water during flood.

“With the rehabilitation of road and drainage improvement along Maya Creek, flooding will be reduced if not eliminated thereby easing the living conditions of the residents within the vicinity,” Director Canlas added.
