Motorists are advised that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will continue its improvement works of national roads in Metro Manila over the weekend.
According to DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas, the road rehabilitation will begin at 11 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 and will cover Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), southbound direction from New York Street to before Monte de Piedad in Quezon City, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and at the northbound direction from 50 meters after Magallanes MRT to KM 29 in Makati City, outer lane.
Repair works will also be undertaken at Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) covering southbound direction approaching Ortigas Flyover to in front of Tiendesitas in Pasig City; and at the northbound direction fronting SM Aura.
Reblocking activity at Katipunan Avenue will cover the southbound direction after C. P. Garcia to before Gonzales Street and after F. Dela Rosa Street, truck lane.
Due to expected traffic slowdown in affected areas, motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes, until sections re-opened at 5 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2019.
