The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct reblocking activities at portions of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) between 11 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019.
DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that weekend roadworks at EDSA will specifically cover the southbound directions from before Aurora Boulevard, 2nd lane from the sidewalk and from before Monte de Piedad, 3rd lane from the sidewalk; and at the northbound direction fronting Baliwag Transit to New York Street, 1st and 2nd lane from the sidewalk.
The northbound direction of C-5 Road fronting SM Aura beside sidewalk, will also undergo road rehabilitation.
Motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes due to expected traffic slowdowns in areas affected by road reblocking activities.
