In a report submitted to Department of Public Works and Highways Environmental and Social Safeguards Division, Planning Service (ESSD-PS) on April 5, 2019, a total of about P57-million worth of Rainwater Collection Systems for FY 2018 were installed and completed in DPWH Regional Office No. IV-A (DPWH-ROIV-A) with a total of 264 units and distributed to identified beneficiaries in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon specifically to areas with very limited water supply.
These units, according to Republic Act No. 6716 or the Act Providing for the Construction of Water Wells, Rainwater Collectors, Development of Springs and Rehabilitation of Existing Water Wells in all Barangays, shall be installed within the premises of public market/public school/public buildings.
