DPWH-RX completes P9M Water System Projects in Bukidnon

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Bukidnon 2nd District Engineering Office recently completed four (4) water system projects, which was officially turned over last January 11 and 12, 2019 to barangay beneficiaries: 1) Kiburao, Quezon, 2) Tawas, Kitaotao, 3) San Miguel, Maramag, 4) Kuya, Maramag, all in the province of Bukidnon.

The water system projects worth Php 9,622,685.86 under the Local Infrastructure Program (LIP) were completed within the time frame with DPWH-Bukidnon 2nd DEO as the implementing office under the headship of District Engineer Liberato S. Tan, Jr.

In so many years, the water system has been the foremost problem in these barangays due to poor access of water district companies to deliver their services in these far-flung areas. Now that it has been finally addressed, barangay officials and the rest of the residents were more than thankful for this development in their community.

Congressman Manuel “Manoy” F. Zubiri personally graced the turnover of the water systems to the concerned Barangay Officials as recipient of the project together with his staff, Ms. Nora Villapaz and Mr. Felipe Mutia. Handling over the ceremonial key is DE Liberato S. Tan, Jr. together with ADE Salome M. Sartillo, Project Engineer Luzminda C. Virtudazo, and Resident Engineer Darwin Realista. Hon. Benito P. Baguio, Sangguniang Bayan Member of the Province of Bukidnon, was also present during the two-day event.

Local and elective officials of Kitaotao and Maramag, Bukidnon also set their hands in the cutting of ribbons to welcome and celebrate this remarkable accomplishment.
