Some road lanes along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) will undergo repair and maintenance works by the Department of Public of Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH – NCR) starting 11 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019.
DPWH – NCR Director Ador G. Canlas said that the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has given clearance to conduct reblocking activities covering the areas of EDSA, specifically the southbound direction from Lagarian Creek to New York Street, beside sidewalk, intermittent section and before Monte De Piedad to near EDSA Aurora Boulevard Tunel, 4th lane from sidewalk, intermittent section; and at the northbound direction fronting Baliwag Transit to New York Street, 1st and 2nd lane from the sidewalk; from 50 meters after Magallanes MRT to KM 29, near Ayala Tunnel, outerlane and from KM 27+019 to KM 26+921 road level near Ayala Tunnel Service Road, outerlane.
Repair works at C-5 will be implemented at the northbound direction fronting Market Market.
All the affected road sections are expected to be reopened by 5 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019.
Motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes due to expected traffic slowdowns in areas with road repair activities.
