Motorists and commuters are advised that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake improvement works in the road sections of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C5) this weekend starting 11 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2019.
DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has approved request for clearance to undertake road rehabilitation at the southbound directions of EDSA from Guzent Construction Equipment Sales and Rental to Culiat Bridge, 2nd lane from sidewalk; from Magallanes to Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes to Alabang Bus Stop, outer lane, and from Eugenio Lopez Street to Scout Borromeo Desilting and Construction of Manhole; and at the northbound direction of after Aurora Boulevard, 1st and 2nd lane from sidewalk.
In C5, repair works will be implemented at the southbound direction from fronting SM Aura, 3rd lane from median; and at the northbound direction from fronting SM Aura, 2nd lane from median.
Reblocking works will also cover Katipunan Avenue, southbound from before P. Tuazon, 2nd lane from sidewalk; Quirino Highway, westbound from Kingfisher Street to Primerose Street, 2nd lane from sidewalk; General Luis Street, westbound from Pascual Street to before Oriental Tin; and Regalado Avenue, northbound from Mindanao Exit to Quirino Highway, 2nd lane from sidewalk.
Motorists are advised to traffic slowdown in the affected areas and to use possible alternate routes.
